Amy's love for dance began at the age of 2 when she started classes at Dothan School of Dance. She began competing with her studio at age 7 and won numerous regional and national awards. Amy performed with Southeast Alabama Dance Company beginning at age 6 and became a company member at age 11.
While a member of SEADAC she danced many leading roles including Clara and Dew Drop in The Nutcracker. During her training she feels blessed to have trained with many world-renowned teachers and choreographers including Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, Travis Wall, Nick Lazzarini, Justin Giles, Nick Bass, Bobby Newberry, Twitch, and many more. Amy graduated from Troy University in 2017 with her BFA in dance. While in college, she taught at local studios including Enterprise School of Dance. After graduation , she moved to Birmingham where she taught at Jackie O’ Neal School of Dance. She was an instructor, competition coach, and ballet director during her time there. Amy moved back to Dothan this summer with her husband and one year old son and is expecting another baby in January. Amy is so excited to be back home and teach at the studio where she grew up.
